What is EPA?
EPA stands for “Electrostatic Protected Area”, which is another term for ESD control area. EPA is an area where the ESD sensitive items are handled, stored, and processed, and where the ESD control measures and rules are applied and enforced. EPA can be marked by signs, labels, or symbols, to indicate the presence and boundaries of the area, and to warn and instruct the personnel and visitors about the ESD hazards and precautions.
